The Kenosha Conversation Project used a listening project model to bring together Kenosha residents using public assistance, government, nonprofit providers of a wide array of services and supports, faith community representatives, advocates, and concerned citizens to work together as equals to address issues related to welfare reform and fostering equality for everyone, regardless or race, class, ethnicity or immigration status. Over 1,000 copies of the report was requested by people from every state in the country and a number of international groups/governments and the project was featured on NPR within six weeks of release.
